Liquid penetrant testing (LPT) is the most common-used non-destructive testing method. JSD NDT has level 2 certified penetrant testing technicians who can test materials in house or on site. LPT is a quick and cost-effective method to examine non-ferrous materials for small surface discontinuities.
Penetrant testing uses capillary attractions for a liquid penetrant to flow through confined and small openings of a surface. When excess liquid penetrant is removed and a developer is applied, flaws in the surface can be identified.
JSD NDT uses fluorescent penetrant testing and visible penetrant testing methods.
